These photographs were taken with my husband’s 41 year old Nikon camera and are the first photographs I’ve taken using film in over 20 years. I’m really pleased with the results. I found a fantastic service for developing the film – they develop, print and scan the photographs, so whilst the images retain the qualities of traditional film – the grain and tonal contrast, they are also brought into the 21st century, meaning that the possibilities are endless. That said, I am not keen on Photoshop and embrace the happy accidents and the unexpected delights of analogue photography. Nothing can beat the suspense of having to wait to find out how your photographs turn out – and in my case, remembering where I took them!
