I am particularly interested in extending projects and re-purposing materials. This set of 6 steel plates (each 10cm x 10cm), were cut up from a single etched plate that I used last year. I destroyed the plate further with each print until eventually the printed images were unrecognisable. Having cut up the original plate into 6 smaller squares, I rusted them simply using vinegar with really accentuates the etched marks. I am not sure how I will incorporate this into my work, but it is all part of the experimentation process.
